Talent-centred Leadership Development
|
Leaders and managers are right at the heart of Talent Liberation and essential to the establishment of a talent-centred culture which will ensure that high performance and satisfying careers are a sustainable feature of the organisation. Primeast facilitators have worked with organisations in all sectors to help leaders and managers to recognise how vital talent is to their own performance and that of their people.
Understanding the nature of talent
Leaders need to understand what talent is all about, especially the fundamental differences between competence, skill, talent and strength. This is the foundation to appreciating the source of high performance which only arises when talents are developed into strengths and then put to use in the delivery of the corporate objectives.
Focusing on the direction of the organisation
People cannot make the most of their talents in the workplace if they do not have a good understanding of the direction of the business and what that means in the context of their own work. Therefore, a feature of our programmes is the facilitated engagement with senior leaders who understand the corporate vision.
Valuing talents
Our approach to valuing talents is unique. Using group discussions and working in pairs, we help participants gain a real sense of how their talents add value, often going as far as working out the bottom-line benefit. Once people know this they become determined to make the best possible use of their talents from that moment onwards.
