Management development programme
|
Why invest in developing your leaders
unless it is going to add significant value
to your organisation? Leaders are
challenged to make an impact through
others, leading teams and organisations.
However, it is essential that they are also
able to add real value to the business.
How is this value measured? How do leaders hold
themselves to account? How can leaders add value
through the efforts of their followers, peers, networks,
change agents, rather than through their own direct efforts?
Primeast can help you answer all of these questions.
Benefits
- Leaders who are inspired, energised and begin to add
real value both individually and through their people
from the start of the development programme
- Measurable return on investment and return on
expectation
Features
The art of reflection
Involves taking time to really
think about the issues and successes of the period
and learning and growing from these
Challenging the status quo
Utilises systems thinking to understand the wider impact of change
initiatives. Involves building business cases and being
brave enough to stand as a critical friend with peers
Exploiting your talents to add value
Applies the ‘leading from within’ model and translates it into
value-adding activities
Focus on results/success
Looks in depth at the results and successes needed and achieved by the
business which might be in danger of being swallowed
by operational issues
Stepping away/consulting
Helps leaders to act
as an internal consultant to the business, and allows
them to ask difficult questions and play “devil’s
advocate” with peer groups
Leading Projects
Delivers the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to deliver a
successful project outcome. It also helps leaders
to understand return on investment and why it is
important. Participants also have the opportunity
to pitch their ideas and recommendations to a
more senior audience – they learn how to
influence upwards and have a greater
understanding of the strategic decision making
process
The live business projects option
We advocate the practical approach of using live
business improvement projects. As such it requires
leaders to have undertaken some or all of the other
areas of development to equip them to make real
improvements to performance. However, where the
Primeast leadership development offering differs from
others is that together we look at both current and
future issues in the organisation and instigate live
business projects for leaders to exploit the value of
their development to the maximum.
Supported by performance coaching and mentoring, it
allows leaders to put into practice all they have learned
straight away – hitting the ground running and
engendering accountability for results in others from
the start.
Using this ‘Adding Value’ approach we are able pull
together the various development areas and put it into
practice where hard data for return on investment can
be measured.
